Bishop Donald Meade Sr.
with his wife Lois, children, Donald Jr. and Tammie returned to
Apostolic Temple in 1988 to receive the baton of leadership from his
father, Eld. Joseph Meade.

Bishop Meade grew up in the church he now
pastors and in 1973 moved to Princeton, WV to start a home missions
work there. After 10 plus years, in 1984, he accepted the call to pastor
the First Pentecostal Church in Sulphur, LA. In 1988, his father
compelled him to return home and become the next pastor of Apostolic
Temple of Akron, Ohio.

Bishop Meade is the third pastor in the
history of Apostolic Temple which was founded in 1939. Bishop Meade
continues to ensure that his love for the Apostolic message and holiness
principles are the foundation of every ministry and activities of the
church. His mission is to have a church that is ready for the soon
return of the Lord Jesus Christ and always striving to be revival minded
and reaching out to the lost. Our ultimate goal is to hear the Lord say
“Well Done”.
